ABOUT THE BLOG
Welcome to my blog and thanks for visiting! Have you ever wondered if there is more to healthcare than focusing on a physical body? Through this site, I’ll be sharing ideas about the connections between our spiritual lives and our wellbeing.
Here’s the focus: your thought affects your health.
As the media representative and legislative liaison for Christian Science in Indiana, I watch trends in health and spirituality and blog about that intersection. Now more than ever before, ideas of health and consciousness intersect to provide spiritual choices for the seeker of health.
If you’d like to join in this conversation, please leave a comment or subscribe to this blog. If you are a reporter, editor or blogger in Indiana who is exploring health/consciousness connections, I can help. Also, if you need accurate, current information about Christian Science, or its founder, Mary Baker Eddy, please get in touch.
I’m happy to be interviewed, contribute columns for media outlets, or work with other members of the press to develop factually accurate coverage of Christian Science.
ABOUT THE BLOGGER
I was born and raised in Indianapolis. My great grandfather came through Indiana on a wagon train, traveling the old national road, as did many families who had reached a crossroads in their lives. I love that family history, but now it’s the spiritual crossroads and the mental journey that interest me.
My own experiences of the effects of spirituality on health encourage my work as a Christian Science practitioner and makes me want to join the current conversation among all kinds of health professional about the intersection of health and consciousness.
Before becoming the Committee on Publication for Indiana, I was a university professor, researching the impact of values in children’s literature. Then I became the administrator of a Christian Science nursing facility. Since then, I have since served on many non-profit and interfaith Boards.
I’m a basketball fan—Go Pacers! Go IU Hoosiers!—a movie buff, a snorkeler and beginning diver, an organic gardener, and a bicycler. My husband and I love to be on the road—national parks, film festivals, Europe, Israel. We’ve done “Bike the Drive” in Chicago and love the Monon Trail in Indy.
If you are a member of the media–reporter, legislator, health blogger–please feel free to contact me for accurate information about Christian Science and it’s founder, Mary Baker Eddy. Thanks for checking out my blog and come again!
